Location: 83° 31' 40" S 57° 48' 6" W
ice-filled valley running N-S in Neptune Range and separating Schmidt Hills and Williams Hills to the W from the main mass of the range to the E, was surveyed from the ground by the United States Geological Survey and photographed from the air by the United States Navy, 1963-64, and used as the site of the refuge 'Camp Neptune' (Neptune Range, q.v.); named after Capt. DavidW. Roderick, USAF, Second-in-command and pilot of the USAF Electronic Test Unit, Pensacola Mountains, summer 1957-58.
