part of Gutenko Mountains (q.v.), N central Palmer Land, rising to c. 1600m, were named after Major David L. Rathbone, USMC, Commander of LC-130 aircraft of the United States Navy Squadron VXE-6, Operation Deep Freeze, 1970 and 1971.
