flowing E into George VI Sound between Tombaugh Cliffs and Succession Cliffs, E Alexander Island, was photographed from the air by Ellsworth, 23 November 1935, and roughly mapped from the photographs by Joerg; roughly surveyed from the ground by the British Graham Land Expedition in October 1936; further photographed from the air by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition in 1947 and surveyed from the ground by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from 'Stonington Island', 1948-49; in association with the names of planets in this area, named after Pluto; mapped by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1959 from the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition air photographs.
