rising to c. 1020m in Anderson Hills, Patuxent Range, Pensacola Mountains, was surveyed from the ground by the United States Geological Survey, 1961-62, and photographed from the air by the United States Navy in 1964; named after James K. Lowry, the United States Antarctic Research Program biologist, 'Palmer Station', winter 1967.
