Location: 64° 38' 15" S 63° 29' 10" W
rising to c. 2570m at S end of Achæan Range, Anvers Island, and forming part of the Mount Français massif, was surveyed from the E by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Port Lockroy in 1944; resurveyed, photographed and climbed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Arthur Harbour in December 1955; in association with other names from Homer's Iliad in this range, named after Agamemnon, King of Mycenae, overlord of all Achæa, and Commander-in-Chief of the Achæan forces at Troy.
