Location: 70° 32' 46" S 68° 43' 29" W
rising to c. 1300m ENE of Mount Edred, Alexander Island, George VI Sound, was photographed from the air by Ellsworth, 23 November 1935; roughly surveyed from the ground and again photographed from the air by the British Graham Land Expedition in October 1936; resurveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from 'Stonington Island', 1948-49, and named from the marked horizontal stratification of the rocks exposed in the peak.
