Location: 67° 34' 19" S 68° 4' 30" W
off Rothera Point, SE Adelaide Island, following survey by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Adelaide, 1961-62, was named after John Basil Killingbeck (b. 1936), the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey Base Leader, 'Deception Island', 1961-62, and the British Antarctic Survey general assistant, Adelaide, 1962-63; further surveyed by an RN Hydrographic Survey Unit, 1976-77.
