NE-SW pass at c. 500m through Walton Mountains, Alexander Island, following geological work by the British Antarctic Survey, 1973-75, was named after Christopher William Edwards (b. 1950), the British Antarctic Survey geologist, 'Stonington Island', 1973-75, who mapped the area.
