running N from Nelson Peak, Washington Escarpment, Neptune Range, Pensacola Mountains, and rising to 1400m, was photographed from the air by the United States Navy in 1964 and surveyed from the ground on the United States Geological Survey Pensacola Mountains Project, 1965-66; named after Robert D. Brown, geologist with the the United States Geological Survey field party in Patuxent Range, summer 1962-63.
