(King Edward Cove)
South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands
Location: 54° 16' 33" S 36° 30' 38" W
Valley running north from Grytviken to Lewis Pass although the name was originally applied to this valley along with the valley that runs N from Lewis Pass to Maiviken, was surveyed by the the Swedish Antarctic Expedition and named Bore Tal because of geological evidence that ice had once filled the valley, Bore being the Swedish name for Boreas, the god of the north wind.
