Location: 64° 19' 52" S 60° 1' 40" W
flowing SE from Detroit Plateau to join Edgeworth Glacier, Nordenskjöld Coast, was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from 'Hope Bay', 1960-61; in association with the names of pioneer designers of oversnow vehicles grouped in this area, named after J. Armand Bombardier (1908-64), Canadian engineer, who developed the snowmobile, one of the earliest successful oversnow vehicles, 1926-37; later President and General Manager, L'Auto-Neige Bombardier Lté, makers of Muskeg tractors and Ski-doos.
