Location: 75° 6' 24" S 68° 19' 37" W
rising to 1635m, E end of Sweeney Mountains, following surveys by the United States Geological Survey, 1961-62, and by the University of Wisconsin, 1965-66, were named after Richard E. Anderson, aviation electronics technician, the United States Navy, on R4D aircraft flights from Byrd Station, Marie Byrd Land, in 1961.
